Step 2: The "same-day" rate lock comparison

If our initial offer doesn't beat theirs, proceed to lock your rate with the competitor. You must share that locked Loan Estimate with us on the same day it is issued so we can attempt to match or beat it under the exact same market conditions.

Step 3: Close and get paid

If Save Financial, Incorporated still cannot beat the locked offer, proceed to close your loan with the competitor. Simply provide us with your Final Closing Disclosure (CD) within 10 days of funding, and we'll send you a $500 check.

If you close a loan with any other lender for a lower combination of interest rate, fees, and monthly mortgage insurance — and we cannot match or beat it — we will send you a $500 check. To ensure a fair, "apples-to-apples" comparison, the following terms and conditions apply.

Phase 1: The comparison process

1. Official quote comparison

You must provide an official, detailed, written quote from a competing lender. This document must be submitted to Save Financial on the same day you receive it so we can compare under the same market conditions.

The quote must clearly show:

  • Lender Name and Quote Date
  • Loan Type, Term, and Loan Amount
  • Purchase Price / Property Value
  • Interest Rate & APR
  • Monthly Mortgage Insurance (if applicable)
  • All Lender Fees, Discount Points, and Lender Credits/Rebates
  • All Third-Party Charges (Appraisal, Credit Report, Title Fees, etc.)

2. Rate lock verification

If our initial review shows we cannot beat the quote, you must inform us that you are proceeding with the competitor and lock your rate on that same day.

  • Submission: Within one business day of locking, email us a complete, unaltered copy of the official Locked Loan Estimate (LE) from the competitor.
  • Verification: The Locked LE must match the fees sheet or preliminary estimate previously provided. It must clearly show the lock expiration date, rate, points/credits, and loan terms.

3. Superior pricing & the "beat" clause

If Save Financial is able to provide a better deal (a lower combination of rate, fees, and MI) after you lock with a competitor but before you close, and you choose not to accept our superior offer, you are not eligible for the $500 guarantee.

4. Closing documentation & payment

If we confirm we are unable to beat the competitor's locked offer, proceed to close the loan with them.

  • Documentation: You must provide Save Financial with a complete, unaltered copy of your final signed Closing Disclosure (CD) and the Promissory Note from your closing package.
  • Timeline: These documents must be sent within 10 business days of your closing/disbursement date.
  • Payment: If the final terms match the original competitor quote/Locked LE, and confirm the lower combination of rate and fees, Save Financial, Incorporated will mail your $500 check within 30 days of verification.

Phase 2: Program restrictions & eligibility

The Guarantee is designed to provide transparency on standard loan products. To qualify, the loan must meet the following criteria:

  • Eligible Loan Types: Valid only for Fixed-Rate Conventional Conforming loans, FHA loans, and VA loans.
  • Minimum Loan Amount: Valid only for loans of $200,000 or higher.
  • Product Matching: The guarantee applies only to identical loan terms and products that are currently offered by Save Financial, Incorporated.
  • Excluded Loan Types: We do not offer this guarantee on Jumbo loans or High Balance loans.
  • Excluded Competitors: We do not match offers from a builder's preferred lender, FDIC Banks or from Credit Unions.
